背景简介:

Luise von Flotow路易斯·冯·弗罗托，加拿大渥太华大学翻译学院院长，终身教授，哈佛商学院MBA，CFA会员，现任私募基金合伙人，曾先后在摩根大通、摩根士坦利担任分析师。主要专注于翻译研究，曾出版多部译著（德译英、法译英），担任多个学术期刊的编审，多个学术组织的研究员，主持多个翻译研究项目，并在多次国际会议上发表主题演讲，曾荣获希腊、瑞典、德国多国的翻译奖。

讲座摘要:

Abstract: This presentation focuses on interventionist action in Bible translation by women: Julia Smith 1855, Elizabeth Cady Stanton 1895, and MaryPhil Korsak 1992. It underlines the fact that the history of Bible translation has led to Western notions of "fidelity in translation" and juxtaposes this with these women translators' attempts to intervene in an ancient text which in its essence is already misogynist.
