Duncan Peart简介：
Duncan Peart is the Assistant Chief, Surveyor (ACS) for the ABS Greater, China Division. He is responsible for the day-to-day activities of Survey department personnel and for maintaining the quality and consistency of the survey work within the Division including verifying compliance with the applicable ABS and statutory requirements as appropriate. Additionally, the ACS is responsible for maintaining the Port State Control database of detained and/or intervened ABS-classed vessels in the Greater China Division and liaising with the MOU Regimes, as necessary, regarding ABS-classed vessels that have been detained by the Port State Authorities.
He has 40 years experience in the marine industry which has including sailing on Bulk and Container Carriers, a period in the North Sea as Chief Engineer on semisubmersible oil and gas rigs, and holds a Class I Certificate of Competency, Marine Engineer, from South Shields Marine & Technical College. He is a Member of the Institute of Marine Engineers and with over 20 years in classification. Duncan joined ABS in January 1994 and was based in Dubai, as a Field Surveyor before transferring to Singapore in 2007 as Principal and Divisional Lead Surveyor for the Pacific Division. In 2011, Duncan transferred to Shanghai as Assistant Chief Surveyor for the Greater China Division.
