This talk aims to provide an overview of UK Higher Education on Maritime courses,curriculum design and the research focus.After introducing the UK university mission, it focuses on three pillars of curriculum design that arecritical for developing talent and future leaders.The talks will also highlight the research and innovation focus related to Maritime economy, Blue policies, planning and security, Blue energy, technologies and transport solutions.
The talk uses UK universities who offer Maritime Business courses and engage in Maritime research, examples include university of Portsmouth, Plymouth, City University (London), Solent University Southampton.
专家简介：
Mark XU (许贤忠) 教授是国际知名研究员，担任《国际电子商务研究杂志》副主编、英国研究理事会全球挑战基金 (EESRC) 资助评审小组成员以及经济和社会研究理事会 (ESRC) 大额基金的审查员，担任英国朴茨茅斯大学系主任 (运筹与系统 )十年。许教授在英国从事调查和学术研究的25年间，致力于多个方向的研究，如战略信息管理系统领域、电子 (和移动) 商务实施和物流；企业通讯技术的采用和知识管理等等。出版著作70多篇 (部)，包括40篇国际和国家级核心期刊论文和3部主持编辑 (或合作编辑) 的书籍，曾领导多项英国政府和其他领域 (包括海洋、电信、全球供应链、制造业和农业食品安全系统) 的公司资助的研究和知识转让项目，项目基金累计超过70多万英镑。
主要研究领域为英语论文写作，战略信息管理系统领域、电子（和移动）商务实施和物流；企业通讯技术的采用和知识管理等。
