SMU English Debating Team Won the Third Price in East China Division in the 18th “FLTRP JD.COM CUP” National English Debating Competition
From March 27th to 29th ,the Final Competition of the East China Division in the 18th “FLTRPJD.COM CUP” National English Debating Competition was held in TongjiUniversity.60 Debating Teams entered the competition.CFL Lecturer Li Fang ledtwo students,Jiang Wenjie,from Business English Department of year-12,and YuXinyang,the Maritime Law major of year-14 attended this competition as the SMURepresentative Team.
Therewere 5 round robin competitions ,the last two of which was the SilenceRound.The representative team from Fudan University,Nanjing University,TongjiUniversity as well as other universities competed with each other.As aresult,SMU won the third prize.
The“FLTRP CUP” National English Debating Competition is the first founded and thelargest English Debating Competition.The current competition themes “Debatingyouth,Discussing the World”, which advocating all college students to meetchallenges and show talents.
