The Institute of Language and Cognition

Founded in 2011, the Institute of Language and Cognition is devoted to studying language from the perspective of cognition, serving for cognitive science in order to explore human’s brain. Many fields of study of this institute have influence on domestic academy, including cognitive linguistics, pragmatics, language acquisition and discourse linguistics. Recently, the institute has undertaken many National Social Science Fund projects and provincial level projects. Besides, the institute has published many academic works and over 30 papers in core journals home and abroad, such as Foreign Language Teaching and Research, Journal of Foreign Languages, Modern Foreign Languages.
