Yao Hongzhi, vice director of Propaganda and education center of Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission(former Shanghai Transport & Port Research Center) came to visit CFLtogether with Pei Zhikang, chief editor of Transportation Intelligence and WangMei, editor of Transport and Ports. Shang Xin, Dean of CFL, Hou Chunlin,Secretary of Communist Party Committee of CFL, He Shaobin, vice dean of CFL andrelevant person in charge of MIPTREC attended the meeting and had a discussionwith the visitors. Both parties exchanged their information and demand, theyhad also reached an agreement on MIPTREC providing package service for publicitycenter of Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission.
MIPTREC is a platform established by CFL fordisciplinary research and practical service of Maritime Language Application,our second-level-discipline doctoral programs. Boasting self-owned Trados translatingplatform and professional translation team and with SMU's other disciplinesbacking it up, the center mainly work on the research and translation ofdocuments of IMO Conference, ships classification, shipping marketing, maritimelaws, logistics and etc. The professional translation team is led by experts invarious fields related to maritime. With all translators having rich practicaltranslating experience, the unique working mechanism also guarantees thequality of their translation effectively.
