A Symposium on the Postmodernization ofPhilosophy of Language” successfully launched in our college
On Oct.17th, The 4th National Forum on Chinese-Western Philosophy ofLanguage: A Symposium on the Postmodernization of Philosophy of Language waslaunched in our college. The symposium was sponsored by China Association forthe Philosophy of Language under CACSEC and College of Foreign Languages ofSMU.
There 70 participants including: Prof. Kong Fancun, vice chancellor ofSMU; Prof. Wang Yan from Sichuan International Studies University, President ofChina Association for the Philosophy of Language; Prof. Qian Guanlian fromGuangdong University of Foreign Studies, and Prof. Pan Wenguo from East ChinaNormal University etc.
The main topics for the symposium are postmodernization of philosophy oflanguage, inter-disciplinary research between philosophy and linguistics,philosophical reflection on linguistics, and theory and practice of philosophyof language.
