The 18th National Congress of the CommunistParty of China describes a great blueprint of building a well-off society in anall-round way and accelerating socialist modernization. Meanwhile, it also putforward an era call for the realization of two “one hundred” goals. Accordingto the spirit of the conference, the central government explicitly put forwardto realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation the Chinese dream.
As an ancient poet saying, poets prefer the clear andfresh scenery in early spring. Young students, as the most vigorous and thegroup full of dreams in our nation, are like scenery of early spring. If theyare strong and healthy, our nation will be powerful and prosperous. If youngstudents have clear goal and great sense of responsibility, the country and thenation will be filled with hope, thus offering a steady stream of strong forceto realize the development goal.
We gained a lot of benefits from the speeches andletters addressed by General Secretary Xi Jinping before and after the YouthDay. We young people play a crucial role in the great practice of Chinese Dreamthat is a national development plan for more than 1.3 billion people within thescope of near 10 million square kilometers to create, pursue and realizedreams. They should fight with the country, keep pace with the times, shouldertheir responsibilities and burden, and strive for the realization of theChinese dream.
Some wise people said, “People with great aspirationcan easier to succeed, otherwise, it is difficult for him to be great.” For theyoung people like us, we should set a high goal in compliance with the cause ofthe nation and make achievements in the near future. Besides, we should cherishtime and make efforts to be a pioneer of the times, a useful talent of ourcountry to contribute your wisdom and power to make the Chinese dream cometrue.
Young people like us need self-improvement in thefollowing aspects:
For schoolwork, they should pursue the goal of so-called"A man’s command of knowledge is like the bow, and his competence is likethe arrowhead. This means a good command of knowledge will enhance one’scompetence." As a college student, the most basic and most fundamentalpriority is to study professional knowledge for socialist construction andcomplete the mission entrusted by the times. At the same time, we should makesome innovations based on lessons learnt from others. Let knowledge as bone,innovation as soul, we should inject fresh energy and constant drive to thefuture construction of the country.
For life, the civilization of the youth struggles withsituation, the times and experience. Young people with great aspirations shouldfollow the spirit of the predecessors to be hard-working and achieve continuousself-improvement. In addition, they should remember the lesson that “Virtueuplifts, vice debases”, and always maintain a positive attitude towards life, agood moral quality and a healthy lifestyle. All of this will help contribute tothe practice of the Chinese dream.
For the collective, if you can use the strength andwisdom of all people, you will be unmatched in the world. Class is asmall-scale group of contemporary youth in the school. If under good guidance,it will be of great use. As a member of the class committee, it is imperativeto strive to offer a good class atmosphere and cultivate class cohesion. Byactively and positively communicating with students and taking the advocate ofthe parties, we should spare no efforts for the sound development of the class.
For the society, although the youth have not yet foundthemselves a foothold in society, they still should be active in socialpractice activities, should improve themselves, thus providing experience andstrength to serve the motherland in the future. In my view, the youth willcreate the family, the country, the nation, mankind, the earth, even theuniverse. They should take active part in the social practice because this cannot only increase personal insights, but also provide wisdom and strength forsocial development. This will not breach the mission of the contemporary youth,nor breach the expectations of predecessors and teachers.
The period of youth is the prime of life and the eliteof life. Now, we are closer than in any other time of history to achieve thegreat rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, but as a saying goes, "It’sstill half way even though one has made 90 miles out of a 100-mile journey",youth like us can not slack, instead, we must press ahead with indomitable willfor the realization of the Chinese dream with the name and the oath of “youth".
Xi said: "Looking forward to the future, Chineseyouth generation will be promising, and will go a long way." I surelythink so.
The Chinese dream is the mission and honor of theyounger generation.
In the final analysis, "youth dream" is alsoa kind of "Chinese dream". At the pride of age, young people like usshould achieve self-improvement, set great goals, cultivate sense of moral, bediligent, strive for innovation, and make efforts to your studies, life, thecollective, and society. By doing this, youth of our nation will be powerfuland realize the Chinese dream in the future.
