CONSTITUTION OF THE PROFESSOR COMMITTEE

FOREIGN LANGUAGE COLLEGE

(TRIAL)

Chapter 1 General Provisions

Article 1 This Constitution, with the requirements of Reform Program for Internal Management System of

 Shanghai Maritime University (Trial), is enacted with a view to improving the management system and

 operating mechanism of the Foreign Language College, to standardizing and deepening the college’s 

management reform, and to promoting the scientific development of various undertakings.  

Article 2 As an advisory organ of the college, the professor committee is an important part of college’s 

management system framework, and is the essential organizational form of ensuring professors’ legal

 implementation of academic responbilities, the improvement of diplomatic management of the college,

 the enhancing of the college’s independent development and the perfection of the college’s operational system.

Article 3 The professor committee shall adhere to the implementation of the Party and nation’s education

 policy, to the ideological line of emancipating the mind, seeking truth for facts and keeping pace with the

 times, to the principle of democratic centralism organization. It shall actively advocating the spirit of science,

 dedication and collaboration while devoting itself into uniting the teachers of the college and constantly

 accelerating the discipline construction, prospering the scientific research and improving the quality of talents.
