Adjustment and Supplement Opinions on Teachers’ Teaching Workload Calculation Method of

Foreign Language College

In order to meet the needs of reform and development of school and college, to complete the teaching tasks issued by the school, to make the implementation and the calculation of the teachers’ workload more objectively and fairly, the Party-government conference of Foreign Language college negotiated and decided that to make following adjustments and supplements of the relevant provisions in Teachers’ Teaching Workload Calculating Method of Foreign Language College (the No.9 document written by Foreign Language College, SMU  in 2012, hereinafter referred to as Teaching Workload Calculation Method) :

1. Cancel the rule of part-time teaching

On the premise of the teacher finishing the basic teaching workload (210 teaching hours) in that semester, the college calculates the course pay in sections to the over workload and no longer define the "part-time" courses. The 4th rule on teachers having part-time courses within the college scope in Teaching Workload Calculation Method is no longer work.

1.      The method of calculating over work in sections

In the over workload, under 140 course hours (included 140) calculated 50 yuan per class, and the part above 14course hours calculated as 90 yuan per class.

 3. Teaching arrangements

The department director is responsible for the arrangement of teachers to undertake teaching task assigned by college each semester, teachers should obey the arrangement. If the teacher is unwilling to undertake the assigned teaching task, and do not change his mind after persuasion and education, shall be regarded as disobey work arrangement. The department director collects and reports such situations to college by semester, which is an important reference factor in annual teachers’ appraising and assessment during employment term.

4. Except for the above-mentioned adjustments and supplements, all of the calculations of teaching workload continue to follow Teachers’ Teaching Workload Calculating Method of Foreign Language College (the No.9 document written by Foreign Language College, SMU in 2012). If there’s any conflict, take this opinion as standard.

5. This opinion will be executed from the issuance date, and the Party-government conference of Foreign Language College is responsible for explanations.
