Semantics, contrastive linguistics, and translation.

More than 30 papers published in prestigious journals such as Journal of Foreign Language Teaching and Research, Journal of Foreign Languages, Journal of Language Teaching and Research, Journal of Linguistic Science, Journal of PLA Foreign Studies University and Journal of Foreign Language Teaching.

MonographA Contrastive Study of Tense and Aspect in English and Chinese (2007), Shanghai People’s Publishing House. Tense-Aspect Typology of English and Chinese and Translation Strategies (2014), Shanghai People’s Publishing House.

Research Projects:

Completion of a National Social Science Fund project (2012) and a Shanghai Municipal Education Commission research innovation project (2011). Completion of the key course for SMU graduate students project “English and Chinese Comparison and Translation” Two ongoing ministry-level projects: a Ministry of Education’s Humanities and Social Science project and a Shanghai Philosophy and Social Science project. Participating in a national project and a ministerial project.

Awards:

First-class Award for Shanghai Young Linguists’ Excellent Papers (2012), Luo Huangfeng Doctoral Award (2008), SMU Excellent Undergraduate Teaching Award (2010), SMU Excellent Postgraduate Teaching Award (2010), and SMU Scientific Achievement Award (2011, 2013). The 13th Shanghai Philosophy and Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award (2016); SMU Top 10 Excellent Supervisors Award (2017)

Academic Activities:
