As an instructorin SMU, Hu Longchun’s research interests include College English Teaching,Translation, British and American Literature and Reading Therapy.
She has evertaken advanced studies at University of Nevada in the United States and at QueenslandUniversity of Technology in Australia. As a council member of Legal LanguageInstitute of China Behavior and Law Association, she is also a member ofReading Therapy Association in America and the China Zhi Gong Party Secretaryof the Working Committee for Woman in Pudong New Area.
She haspublished over 10 original research papers on such journals as Gansu Social Sciences and Masterpieces Review and compiledherself or with others 10 works and textbooks. Hu has actively participated infive projects, including international programme, College Fund Project,horizontal item and bureau-grade program. Entitled as the “Backbone Teacher” ofShanghai Maritime University in 2008, she also got the third prize in the youngteachers’ teaching contest of College of Foreign Languages, SMU.
Now, she is mainly responsible for theteaching of college English reading, listening, speaking and writing.
