Academic Lecture: Declaration of Chinese Academic Foreign Translation Project of National Social Science Fund and Translation and Publication Experience Sharing

Lecture Content: Share the experience in applying for the Chinese Academic Foreign Translation Project of the National Social Science Fund, as well as some insights in the implementation of the project, such as translation and publication. This lecture includes the following aspects: (1) project purpose and scope of funding; (2) declaration conditions, methods, and instructions for submission of materials; (3) key points for writing project applications; (4) ideas and strategies for foreign translation process; (5) considerations for foreign publication; (6) personal insights and suggestions. The application for the Chinese Academic Translation Project pays special attention to the preliminary accumulation, team preparation, and multiple contacts, and the application preparation and implementation process is complicated. We hope that the seminar can provide a sharing of experience in the above aspects and help you in your project application.

Expert Profile: Zhu Lin, Professor and Vice Dean of School of Foreign Languages, Huaqiao University, selected for Quanzhou City and Fujian Province High-level Talent Program. Ph.D. from Nankai University, a post-doctoral fellow from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and the University of Macau, and visiting scholar from Cambridge University. Main research: translation theory and practice, cognitive translation research, literary translation, translation technology, and translation teaching, etc. She has led and completed many research projects, including the Chinese Academic Translation Project of the National Social Science Fund of China, the Postdoctoral Science Foundation of China, the Provincial Social Science Foundation, and the High-level Talent Project of Huaqiao University. She has published more than 30 papers in international A&HCI and SSCI journals and domestic CSSCI journals. She has published one English monograph in Peter Lang and one English translation in Routledge. He has published one English monograph in Peter Lang, one English academic translation in Routledge (the result of the Chinese Academic Foreign Translation Project of the National Social Science Fund), one English to Chinese compilation, and three translations in China.
