Lecture Introduction:
How does an idea sprout and become a completed paper? This lecture will vividly demonstrate the whole process of an academic paper from germination to reprint.
Lecturer Profile:
Huang Zhonglian; born in 1965 in Xingshan, Hubei, Ph.D. second professor, Ph.D. supervisor, and postdoctoral collaborator of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. He specializes in translation theory, scientific translation, applied translation, theoretical translation, history of translation, Chinese to foreign language, and Chinese to foreign comparison.
He is the chief expert of the major project of National Social Science Fund “Research on the History of the Development of Chinese Translation Theory”, and has presided over 6 national social science projects (1 major, 1 key, 4 general) and 7 ministerial projects, published 32 academic books and translations, edited 7 sets of series, and published more than 310 academic papers. He is a member of the Seventh Discipline Review Group of the State Council, a member of the Discipline Review Group of the National Social Science Foundation of China, a special professor of “Pearl River Scholars” of Guangdong Province, and the deputy director of the Translation Committee of the Chinese Society for Comparative English-Chinese Studies. He is the founder of the “Global Russian-Chinese Translation Competition”; he received the Sixth Ministry of Education Award for the Achievement of Humanities and Social Sciences in Universities.
