Lecturer 1: Chang Shaohua

Lecture Topic: Evaluation principles and review practice of foreign language academic papers

Lecture Introduction: Combining the practice of the journal Chinese Foreign Languages in recent years in the planning of topic selection and paper review, we summarize and analyze the common problems in the selection of innovative topics and writing of foreign language research papers, and explain them with typical cases, so that authors can further understand the characteristics and review requirements of the journal and promote the development of foreign language academic research and the journal.

Lecturer Profile: Chang Shaohua, Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Director of Chinese Foreign Languages, and Deputy Editorial Reviewer of Higher Education Press. He is the vice-chairman of the Standing Council of Corpus and Intercultural Communication Forum, the executive director of Chinese Functional Linguistics Research Association and Chinese Translation Cognition Research Association, and the editorial board member of Functional Linguistics and Discourse Analysis Research and Business Foreign Language Research. Academic interests: translation and culture, foreign language education, and publication and communication.

Lecturer 2: Chen Yong

Lecture Topic: Hotspots for selecting topics for journal articles and the importance of submitting manuscripts

Lecture Introduction: The lecture is divided into three parts: topic selection strategy, hotspot analysis, and the importance of manuscript submission: the topic selection strategy is based on the sources, measures, and key issues of the selected topics, and discusses the topic selection strategy of gradually narrowing the scope of the topic, carefully implementing the five more principles and tracking hotspot issues in real-time. The Hotspot Analysis section discusses the hotspots of foreign language academic papers based on the publications of two CSSCI source journals (including the extended version) in the past 10 years through keyword analysis; the section discusses the issues related to the submission of foreign language academic papers from several aspects, such as precautions for submission, the performance of poor papers and the performance of good papers.

Lecturer Profile: Chen Yong, Editor-in-Chief of Journal of the PLA Foreign Language Institute, Doctor of Letters, Postdoctoral Fellow of Heilongjiang University and Beijing Foreign Language University, is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor of Luoyang College of Foreign Languages, Information Engineering University. He is mainly engaged in the research of language semiotics and philosophy of language, presiding over 1 project of National Social Science Foundation, 1 project of Postdoctoral Science Foundation, 1 project of Henan Provincial Social Science Planning, participating in 5 scientific research projects above provincial and ministerial level, winning 1-second prize of Henan Provincial Social Science Excellent Achievement, publishing 2 monographs independently, 2 monographs in cooperation, and publishing more than 40 papers.
