On the afternoon of January 5, the signing ceremony of the integration of industry and education between WORLDEX Group and the university was held. Party Secretary Song Baoru, Chairman Liu Jie, and Chief Human Resources Officer Jia Zhendong of WORLDEX Group attended the ceremony, as well as representatives from the President's Office (Alumni Liaison Office) and the College of Foreign Languages, teachers, and students. The ceremony was hosted by Zhang Yan, Dean of the College of Foreign Languages.
Song Baoru expressed his gratitude to WORLDEX Group for its continuous care and support for the development of the school's career. He pointed out that the integration of industry and education effectively integrates the advantageous resources of school and enterprise, which is conducive to promoting the organic connection of education chain, talent chain, and industry chain and innovation chain, further creating new high ground of integration of industry and education, promoting the cooperation between school and enterprise to run out of acceleration and stimulate new momentum, and then adding bricks and tiles to enhance the development of shipping business.
Liu Jie made a presentation entitled Our Mission - Empowering Sustainable Logistics Ecology, introducing the basic overview, industrial development and talent demand of Global Express Logistics Group to the participating teachers and students, and sharing his insights and experiences on the road of entrepreneurship. As a 1986 alumnus of English major, Liu Jie also donated the book Chinese Wisdom and Modern Management written by his English teacher Professor Zuo Biao to the school teachers and students, and enthusiastically answered the questions raised by the students on the spot.
Jia Zhendong said that the globalization process of the logistics industry chain urgently needs foreign language+ talents, and hoped that by deepening the joint efforts of schools and enterprises to carry out talent team building, it would provide intellectual support for the transformation and upgrading and scientific development of WORLDEX Group.
Jia Zhendong and Zhang Yan signed the agreement on behalf of both sides on the integration of industry and education, and the participants carried out in-depth exchanges on talent training and project cooperation.
After the signing ceremony, the appointment ceremony of mentors and the awarding ceremony of WORLDEX were also held. Mr. Song Baoru awarded the certificate of Specially Appointed Mentor to Liu Jie and Jia Zhendong.
