Since March, the School of Foreign Languages has been collecting works on the theme of Fighting the epidemic with one heart in order to gather strength and spread positive energy in the fight against the epidemic, and has received enthusiastic responses from teachers and students.
The campaign was based on the theme of One Heart, Fight the Epidemic and could take the form of essays, poems, calligraphy, paintings, posters, photography, short videos, songs, recitations and so on. After the event, more than 50 students and teachers sent in poems, calligraphy, paintings and other works. Some of them described the process and feelings of their participation in the epidemic protection work, some showed the gains and insights of online learning and fighting the epidemic at home, some expressed their praise and gratitude to the medical and nursing staff and grassroots cadres who bravely went against the grain and fought on the front line, and some expressed their good wishes that all people would fight the epidemic together and spring would finally come. Selected works sent by students and faculty were posted on the WeChat public number of the College's Party Building Research Society (Waiyuan PBSS), which received the attention of students, faculty and parents of students, and resonated with them.
The event showcased what teachers and students did, thought and thought in the epidemic protection, promoted the communication between teachers and students, and conveyed the positive energy of scientific protection against the epidemic, active participation in protection, good online teaching, and hope for peace on earth together.
