At 10:00 a.m., members of the College team, members of the Party Committee, branch secretaries, and representatives of teachers and students watched the opening session in Room 515 of the Foreign Language Building and had an exchange of discussions. At the beginning of the event, students and teachers stood up, sang the national anthem, and paid a silent tribute to the late old proletarian revolutionaries and revolutionary martyrs. The students and teachers listened carefully to the report made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on behalf of the 19th Central Committee to the General Assembly, and were proud of the progress made by the Party and the country in the past five years and the past ten years, confident of building a strong socialist modern country with Chinese modernization, and encouraged by the strategic policies of the Party Central Committee on the construction of socialist modernization in China. The postgraduate party members living in Lingang Campus watched the opening ceremony in the lobby of No. 22 Dormitory Building. Postgraduate members living in Gaoheng Building watched the opening ceremony in the study room of 1520 Gaoheng Building.
