Faculty of Foreign Languages organized teachers and students to listen to and watch the opening session of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China

On the morning of October 16, the College of Foreign Languages organized class members, party members and cadres, teachers and students to listen and watch the opening session of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China through a combination of offline or online, centralized or individual.

At 10:00 a.m., members of the College team, members of the Party Committee, branch secretaries, and representatives of teachers and students watched the opening session in Room 515 of the Foreign Language Building and had an exchange of discussions. At the beginning of the event, students and teachers stood up, sang the national anthem, and paid a silent tribute to the late old proletarian revolutionaries and revolutionary martyrs. The students and teachers listened carefully to the report made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on behalf of the 19th Central Committee to the General Assembly, and were proud of the progress made by the Party and the country in the past five years and the past ten years, confident of building a strong socialist modern country with Chinese modernization, and encouraged by the strategic policies of the Party Central Committee on the construction of socialist modernization in China. After watching the opening session, the participating teachers and students made exchange speeches, saying that they should continue to study the spirit of the conference in depth, implement the requirements of the conference in conjunction with their posts, preach the spirit of the 20th National Congress to the teachers, students, relatives and friends around them, and make their own contributions to the cause of college education and school development.

According to the arrangement of the college, members of the Sea Star Party Building Research Association of the college watched the opening session centrally and discussed it through Tencent Conference Online. The postgraduate party members living in Lingang Campus watched the opening ceremony in the lobby of No. 22 Dormitory Building. Postgraduate members living in Gaoheng Building watched the opening ceremony in the study room of 1520 Gaoheng Building.

Other branches, departments, classes, party members and cadres, teachers and students also watched the opening session of the 20th National Congress through TV and internet.
