Lecturer Profile:
Dr. Ivasiuk Nadiia is a professor and head of the English Department at the Odessa State Maritime Academy, Ukraine, and is fluent and proficient in English, Russian, and Ukrainian. Prof. Nadiia specializes in professional training of seafarers and teaching English using the English communicative approach, and is well established in the research area of teaching the communicative approach to professional English. Between 1991-2018, she represented Odessa State University, Odessa State Maritime Academy at several international academic conferences located in USA, Belgium, Bulgaria, Turkey, China, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Egypt, Myanmar, Philippines. She has participated in the preparation of several manuals and tools such as Advanced English for Seafarers, Ship Communication, English-Russian-Ukrainian Trilingual Dictionary for Ship Construction, etc. She has rich experience in teaching and research of English communication at sea.
