On the morning of October 14, 2023, Chai Yuanyuan, Li Chuqiao, Wang Li, and Xu Yiming, teachers of the French Department of the College of Foreign Languages, led the 2023 French majors to visit the exhibition Paris Moderne:1914-1945 in Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Art.
The exhibition uses immersive video experience and multimedia exhibition form to present the historical picture of Paris from 1914 to 1945 from architecture, transportation, interior design, fashion art, and other aspects.
During the exhibition, the teachers of the French Department patiently answered the questions raised by the students, allowing the students to experience the interest of the physical exhibits, understand the history and culture of France, and further consolidate the language knowledge learned in the class.
Students from the Department of French gave positive feedback to this activity, saying that this observation not only strengthened the connection between teachers and students, but also deepened the understanding and perception of French and France, and hope to have the opportunity to harvest and grow together in the future.
