Congratulations! | Two Projects of the College of Foreign Languages Have Been Announced as the 2023 Youth Fund for Humanities and Social Science Research by the Ministry of Education

Recently, two projects of our institute have been announced as the 2023 Youth Fund for Humanities and Social Science Research by the Ministry of Education, including two disciplines of foreign literature and education.


Youth Fund Project (Foreign Literature)


 Project leader: Zheng Songyun

 Project title: Research on Historical and Community Construction in Caribbean Literature


Zheng Songjun, Ph.D., Lecturer, Postdoctoral researcher at the Station. The proposed project, Research on Historical Writing and Community Construction in Caribbean Literature, is based on the Caribbean region and explores the works of Caribbean immigrant writers and local writers to explain the theme of historical writing and the relationship between them and community construction, hoping to contribute wisdom and strength to enhancing friendly exchanges between China and Caribbean countries with diplomatic relations and jointly building the Belt and Road with high quality.

 Project title: Dynamic metacognitive monitoring behavior and its stimulating mechanism in self-regulated learning: from the perspective of cognitive neuroscience


Wu Mengjiao, Ph.D., Lecturer.

The proposed project: Dynamic metacognitive monitoring behavior and its stimulating mechanism in self-regulated learning: from the perspective of cognitive neuroscience, with metacognitive monitoring and its cognitive generation process as the research focus, focuses on self-regulated learners' spontaneous metacognitive dynamic monitoring behavior in the learning decision-making process, and intends to explore its stimulating mechanism and characteristics through cognitive neuroscience technology, to further reveal the scientific problem of how detection behavior affects learning decision-making, learning control and learning outcomes.

This topic is helpful to understand the behavioral characteristics of learning monitoring and its role in optimizing learning, promote the application of metacognitive monitoring ability in teaching, and provide empirical data for the cultivation of diversified literacy of college students.
