On the afternoon of July 6th, sponsored by the Lingang New Area Immigration Affairs Service Center, hosted by the Lingang New Area Multilingual Service Center of the University, co-organized by the Youth League Committee of the College of Foreign Languages, the International Lingang-Sound Duoyun drama experience exchange activity for overseas talents was successfully held in Duoyun Academy. The event attracted more than 40 overseas talents from 13 countries and regions, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Colombia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, to participate and experience the unique charm of Chinese opera.
The event kicked off with an in-depth explanation of Huangmei Opera culture, and volunteers from the College of Foreign Languages conducted on-site translation to let overseas talents understand the origin, development, and artistic characteristics of this local opera art. Following the live question and answer session stimulated everyone's strong interest in Huangmei Opera.
The guest makeup experience session let the overseas talents on the scene personally feel the fine and aesthetic beauty of the opera makeup art. The wonderful interpretation of the classic fragments of Huangmei Opera Female Emperor's Son-in-law and Heavenly Marriage made every audience feel the essence and charm of the opera. In the following costume experience session, the guests put on the traditional costumes of Huangmei Opera and experienced the unique style of the opera characters.
During the tea break, volunteers and teachers of the College of Foreign Languages added a lot of fun to the scene. Overseas talents shared their perceptions of Huangmei Opera in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere and exchanged their impressions and expectations of Lingang New Area.
At the end of the activity, the participants punched into the Duoyun Academy, explored this cultural leisure space integrating reading, art, and life, felt the cultural atmosphere and life atmosphere of Lingang New District, and drew a perfect end to this traditional cultural journey.
The Huangmei Opera Grand event of International Lingang - Sound Duoyun is not only an audio-visual feast, but also a vivid exchange of Chinese and Western cultures.
